Battle of Brandy Station

  • Brandy Station, VA (map)

The Battle of Brandy Station was one of history's greatest cavalry engagements, with over 17,000 cavalry engaged in battle. Although the Union advance was repelled, this battle broke the Confederate Cavalry's dominance.

Due to circumstances, this event will now be held 1-2 October. On Saturday, participants will engage in a staff ride of the battlefield, that will include a cavalry charge in the original location. On Sunday, participants will engage in a tactical event. Because of the nature of this event, spectator viewing may be limited although there is an area near the Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department from where some of the action may be viewed on Sunday.
